Shotokan Kata

A Kata is a predetermined sequence of moves performed as a singular exercise. To practise a Kata allows students to learn coordination, trains memory, gain confidence performing the Kata and, most importantly, helps students to practise combinations known as Bunkai; the application of Karate techniques on an assailant.
